WHO ARE WE AND WHAT DO WE DO ?
Amigos de Jesus is a 501c3 nonprofit organization offering assistance to Hispanics and others underserved in the Wimberley community. Volunteers and sponsors from several local faith communities coordinate and facilitate this humanitarian program backed by generous community donors, and other contributions. The recipients of its services are good, law-abiding families just attempting to survive.
Amigos volunteers distribute food, toiletries and daily essentials to local families through “The Mercado” food pantry, providing spanish-speaking assistance to those in need. Amigos de Jesus coordinates and participates in many community fundraisers and events such as the Ice Cream Social, Annual Coat Drive, Back to School Fiesta, Camp Good Sam, Thanksgiving Meals, and Pre-K Programs Coordination.
